Artist's Description
A sweet little pet bunny rabbit was the inspiration for this original oil painting. With his quiet ways, he charmed his way into my heart and I had to paint his portrait. He was still and compliant for a short while, but having his visage recreated was not on his agenda for the day. I had to remind him to sit still more times than I care to recall. Most of the portrait came from recall, thinking about his fat little haunches and crouching stance was part of the creative process. He's a fun little creature who wants to live in your home with all the children, pets, and company he can find.
The original oil painting was created on a 6x8 inch stretched canvas.
I've been selling originals and reproductions of my work online since 2007. People all over the world have purchased my art and it is wonderful to connect with so many.
